
Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management Programme (GSCLM) is a tripartite programme of Copenhagen Business School, The University of British Columbia and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Each year each institution will select student participants to form the GSCLM programme cohort for that given year. As part of the GSCLM programme of study, these participants will study one semester at each of the cooperating institutions in a prescribed order. Each institution will offer two courses that are specific to the GSCLM curriculum and will hold programme-related activities for the visiting cohort. This programme is initiated in 2014 and now 6 batches of cohorts are successfully formed.
Major Programme
Global Business Studies; GSCLM is a major stream of Global Business Studies major.
Number of Participants:
Each cooperating institution will select a maximum of 15 participants.
Language Requirement:
Participants will have a 90 TOEFL IBT or better, or an IELTS score of 7 or above, or a demonstrated equivalent mastery of English upon admission to GSCLM. This requirement is waived for a student whose native language is English or who has graduated from or is attending a degree programme taught in English, as certified by a written confirmation from the home institution.
*Language requirement is waived for CUHK-Shenzhen students.
Selection Methods:
First year cGPA and interview. The total 100 point is consist of 80% of the cGPA of the first year and 20% of the interview.
Other Criteria:
1.A good academic record, normally a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
2.A good disciplinary record
Application:
Application opens in May when first year students declare majors. After the school screening of all the applications, potential candidates will be informed to the interview for the programme. Results will be announced in July. For further information, please pay attention to the school website.
Curriculum:
At each institution, participants will take two cohort-specific full courses that cover topics common to the degree requirements of each school and two electives provided by host institution. Please consult the GSCLM study scheme for details.
Activity Expectations:
Each cooperating institution may develop a schedule of activities for the cohort. Such activities may include study trips, company visits, lectures, and others. During 2017 to 2019, students visited Yantian International Container Terminals, BYD Company limited, Foxconn, Tencent, China Gene Bank, Hong Kong Science Park and Li & Fung HK Headquarter.
Accommodation:
Each host institution will assist students in securing appropriate housing for the period of their study at the host institution. Students are responsible for all costs of accommodation while studying at host universities.
Fees & Estimated Cost:
Students will be personally responsible for:
● All travel expenses
● Compulsory insurance, including medical, repatriation of rests and travel insurance. Health insurance program with comprehensive coverage in the host country for the duration of the academic period in which the student will be involved
● Accommodation and living expenses
● All costs associated with applying for and obtaining appropriate visas and travel documentation
● Non-compulsory additional fees
● Textbooks and other course materials
● All other debts incurred during the course of their stay

Scholarship:
The China Scholarship Council has set up exchange scholarship for mainland universities in which CUHK-Shenzhen is enlisted. The quota varies from each year. The scholarship is at a fixed amount that covers flight tickets, visa application fee and daily expenses. The selection is based on student’s GPA and IELTS or TOFEL result. Please be noted that language test result is required for the application for scholarship. Applicant should acquire 6.5 or better in IELTS or 90 or better in TOFEL.
