The School of Management and Economics (SME) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) has launched PhD programs in Economics and Finance in 2019. The PhD programs gather strong faculty, with leading scholars in the world being supervisors. The programs adopt English teaching and learning. The curriculum design and training mode are in line with top business schools in the world, while integrating with Chinese characteristics, aiming to cultivate leading scholars and researchers for Chinese universities and research institutions. Students who satisfy the graduation requirements will receive degrees of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Faculty & Research

SME attaches great importance to both research and teaching and conforms to the standards of The Chinese University of Hong Kong to recruit leading experts in their fields as our professors. Up to end of 2022, there are 108 faculty members at SME. They all received Ph.D. degrees from prestigious universities internationally and many professors are leading experts in academic fields or industries.
