Artificial Intelligence is rapidly reshaping business landscape, powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agent have become pivotal in transforming e-commerce experiences. This talk delves into the intricate engineering infrastructure of AI agents and their multifaceted applications within the e-commerce sector. We will talk about use cases ranging from customer service agent to personalized recommendation agent. We will also touch about how this technology is reshaping the tranditional software product development process.

Dr. Zhao Siming, currently AI Prompt Engineer from Alibaba, is committed to the application of artificial intelligence to reshape the B2B E-commerce landscape, use cases ranging from AIGC, customer service chatbot to AI agent capable of executing complex workflows. Dr. Zhao got his PhD from Cornell, his doctoral work is in the area of computational mechanics, he proposed a computational framework to understand the complex phase transition and deformation behavior of lipid bilayer membranes. After getting his PhD degree in 2016, Dr. Zhao joined JPMorgan’s New York headquarter, served two roles in JPMorgan as quantitative analyst for Equity/Fixed-Income Financing trading desk and data scientist in Chase’s Digital Intelligence team. In the summer of 2019, Dr. Zhao joined Alibaba and Ant group, served as two roles as search & recommendation product strategy expert, and data security & blockchain solution expert. Dr. Zhao also worked as product lead for a tech start-up focusing on secure multiparty computation and federated learning. In the fall of 2023, Dr. Zhao returned to Alibaba to work on LLM based products to redefine B2B e-commerce platform, he is based in Silicon Valley.
