On the afternoon of May 18, the Graduation Ceremony for Bachelor Degree Graduates 2025 of the School of Management and Economics (SME), The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) was held at the Liwen Hall, CUHK-Shenzhen. The SME management team and representative professors in various academic fields witnessed the 2025 undergraduate graduates completing their studies at the solemn graduation ceremony and embarking on a new journey. Parents, relatives, and friends of the graduates from all over the country, as well as relatives and friends of international students who came from afar, gathered to celebrate this major milestone and send sincere blessings to the graduates.

Professor Zhang Bohui, Executive Dean of SME, delivered a speech and extended his sincere congratulations to all the graduates. After the speech, Professor Zhang and Professor Ai Chunrong, Associate Dean of SME, presented awards to outstanding SME graduates.

In addition, many outstanding SMEers were honored with awards for outstanding students for their exceptional performance from the college and CUHK-Shenzhen. Afterwards, Tan Zhiyun, a SME graduate representative, came onstage to give a speech. 

In the “Gifts for Graduation” session, Professor Zhang Wen, Assistant Dean (Student Affairs) of SME, hosted the ceremony. All the graduates were divided into groups according to their majors and went onstage in turn to shake hands with the representative professors of their majors, receive commemorative bears for their graduation, and take photos. 

At the end of the ceremony, representative SME professors in various fields came onstage in turn to give affectionate farewell messages to the graduates.

To this stage, the Graduation Ceremony for Bachelor Degree Graduates 2025 of SME, CUHK-Shenzhen came to a successful conclusion. However, the carnival of graduation season still went on!

On the evening of May 18, as night fell, SME graduates gathered in Teaching Complex D’s outdoor space to celebrate the SME Graduation Ball (Jazz Bar) 2025.

The first half of the ball was hosted by SME student Bai Bingyu. The 4Fun dance group from the Kpop department opened the ball with a lively dance called Strategy, which attracted cheers and screams from the audience. Afterwards, SME graduates Wang Zixin and Yao Meng sang The First Day together. In addition, the Soulband played and sang several classic songs live, immersing the audience in the delight of soft melodies.

The second half featured an “open mic” free performance hosted by Professor Zhang Wen. Students, professors, alumni, and relatives and friends of the graduates joined in to request songs impromptu, pushing the ball to a climax. The performers also received special gifts. Laughter spilled into the air.

At last, in the moderator’s affectionate farewell speech, the feast of youth came to an end in a heartwarming atmosphere.
