SME Course Fintech Theory and Practice Hailed as 2023 First-Class Undergraduate Course in Guangdong Province
Recently, the Department of Education of Guangdong Province released the Notice of the Department of Education of Guangdong Province on the Announcement of 2023 Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Course Recognition Results, which stipulates that the Fintech Theory and Practice taught by Professor Zhang Bohui and Associate Professor Li Dan from the School of Management and Economics (SME), The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen), has been recognized as 2023 First-Class Undergraduate Course in Guangdong Province.
Jointly developed by Professor Zhang Bohui and Associate Professor Li Dan, whose research focuses on finance in 2020, Fintech Theory and Practice focuses on the fintech development in China, covering various applications in different fields to promote knowledge sharing and technology transformation. It provides a learning experience aligned with actual scenarios and cultivates students’ practical abilities and innovative awareness.
About the Fintech Theory and Practice
The course combines theoretical teaching with practical experience to cultivate students’ all-round abilities in fintech theory and practice and develop their in-depth understanding of fintech, including the basic principles, applied technologies, and industry development trends. Meanwhile, it focuses on cultivating students’ practical abilities and encourages them to apply the knowledge they have learned to solve realistic problems through practical case analysis, group projects, and industrial mentor guidance.
