Good News | SME, CUHK-Shenzhen Received Four Grants of National Natural Science Foundation of China
The results of unified acceptance of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for the year 2021 have been announced, and the School of Management and Economics, CUHK-Shenzhen has received four grants.
Up to now, a total of 41 programs have been funded, an increase of 37% year on year, with a funding rate of about 24.1% (national average funding rate: 16.6%). Among them, there are 16 general programs, 23 youth programs, one key program and one special program.
Key programs support scientists and technicians engaged in basic research to carry out in-depth, systematic and innovative research in research directions or disciplinary development areas with a sound foundation, promote the development of disciplines, and drive breakthroughs in several important fields or scientific frontiers.

General Programs, a major part of the NSFC research program series, support scientists and technicians to engage in basic research selecting their own topics and carrying out innovative scientific research within the scope of NSFC funding, so as to promote the balanced, coordinated and sustainable development of various disciplines.

Youth Program supports young scientists and technicians to carry out basic research by selecting their own topics within the scope of NSFC funding, with special emphasis on cultivating the ability of young scientists to lead independent research programs and conduct innovative researches, thus stimulating innovative thinking among young scientists and technicians, fostering successors in the basic research.
