Overview

 

The School of Management and Economics (SME) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen was established in 2014, with a mission to advance our understanding of economics and management and to develop innovative, forward-thinking, globally-minded and principled leaders who strive for the betterment of business and society.
Consistent with our mission, the SME attaches great importance to both research and teaching and is one of the few AACSB accredited business schools in China. Our curriculum is internationalized and taught in English - unique among Chinese universities. At present, the SME offers our undergraduate students majors in Applied Economics, Economics Science, Finance, Global Business, Global Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Accounting, and Marketing and Communication.
SME faculty are all recruited from overseas and hold PhD degrees from internationally renowned universities with strong research backgrounds. Student recruiting is also highly-selective. The SME student body ranks in the top 1% across China - equivalent to the very best Chinese universities - and our students truly treasure opportunities for international experience and exposure.

To be acknowledged regionally, nationally and internationally as a first-class center of scholarship in management and economics whose bilingual and global dimensions of teaching and learning, scholarly output and contribution to the community consistently meet standards of excellence.

 

 

 

 

International Assurance of Quality

       The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) was founded in 1916 to accredit schools of business. Merely 5% of business school around the world acquired this accreditation.

 

       The School of Management and Economics attaches great importance to teaching and learning. We are committed to continuously improve the educational quality in order to ensure that the best education is provided for students. CUHK Business School and CUHK (SZ) SME will jointly accept the AACSB accreditation audit every five years. Our curriculum are conforming to the international standards to ensure the world-class teaching quality.

 

Global Programme
SME has been constantly working on developing high-quality international programs for our students, to assist students in acquiring global exposure and becoming outstanding business professionals in the international community. By the end of 2016, the school has developed more than a dozen international programs, such as full-term exchange programs, visiting programs, 3+1+1, 4+1 and other programs. Partner institutions include top world-class business schools, such as Cambridge, LSE, UCLA, Minnesota, Bocconi, UBC, and St. Gallen. In the near future, SME will establish partnership with more world-renowned business schools.
