On November 19, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Forum was held at Futian Shangri-La Hotel. The forum was co-organized by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shenzhen Finance Institute, Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau Cooperation and Innovation Research Association, and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, with active participation from all walks of life. More than ten business leaders, young entrepreneurs and renowned experts and scholars attended the conference and shared their forward-looking thinking and practical experience on three major topics: "Opportunities and Challenges of Chinese Enterprises in the Background of Dual Cycle", "New Era of Scientific and Technological Innovation and Digital Bay Area" and "New Vision and New Track for Entrepreneurs". They discussed the pain points of enterprise development in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area in a multi-dimensional and multi-perspective manner, and discussed good development strategies to help Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area achieve high-quality development. Prof. Shu Tao, Associate Vice President and Presidential Chair Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Prof. Wang Cong, Associate Vice President and Presidential Chair Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Prof. Xiao Geng, Director of Institute of Policy and Practice, Shenzhen Finance Institute and Chairman of the Hong Kong Institution for International Finance, and Prof. Tong Shilu, Associate Dean of the School of Management and Economics of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen attended and hosted the forum.

In his opening speech, Prof. Luo Zhiquan, Vice President of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, mentioned that CUHK-Shenzhen is a successful example of cooperation in knowledge and talents between cities in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, and is a testimony to the deepening development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The University's ability to grow and develop as it has today is closely linked to the development of the Greater Bay Area and the country. Its rise is the result of the era of Hong Kong's return to the motherland and the joint prosperity of the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. The reforms and transformations of the country, and the innovation, growth and development of the Greater Bay Area all rely on talents. The University attaches great importance to the introduction and cultivation of talents and will be determined to contribute to the promotion of talents in the Greater Bay Area in the future.

In the keynote speech session, Fung Kwok King, Chairman of Fung Group, Fu Yuning, Member of the Standing Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, former Chairman of China Resources (Holdings), Tang Jie, Board member of CUHK-Shenzhen and former Vice Mayor of Shenzhen Municipality, and Michael Yang Mengsu, Vice-President (Research & Technology) of the City University of Hong Kong, delivered keynote speeches on "Grasping New Opportunities, Creating New Development and Creating a New Future for the Greater Bay Area", "Integrating into the National Development Landscape, Breaking New Ground with Innovation and Opening a New Chapter of Hong Kong's Development", "Development and Innovation in the Bay Area" and "Industrialization of Scientific Research Results: Opportunities for Enterprises in the Greater Bay Area" respectively.

Yang Jian, Vice President of Tencent Group and General Advisor of Tencent Research Institute, Sunny Chau, Assistant Director of Greater Bay Area Commercial and Market Development of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks, and Ben Leung, Founder/CEO of Foshan AI star Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. shared their insights on the topic of "New Era of Scientific and Technological Innovation and Digital Bay Area ".

Keynote Speech: New Vision and New Track for Entrepreneurs

Xu Tao, Co-founder and Chief Scientist of Cellomics, Lam Pang Fai, Managing Director of Macau Carnival Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, Jason Choi, President of Sunwah Group (Greater Bay Area) and Chairman of Sunwah Hong Kong and Macau International Youth Innovation Center, and Tong Jilong, Partner/Senior Vice President of Shenzhen Mingyuanyun Technology Company Limited, gave in-depth analysis on the topic of "New Vision and New Track for Entrepreneurs".

Xiong Wei, Academic Dean of the School of Management and Economics of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Academic Director of Shenzhen Finance Institute, delivered a concluding speech. He said that, the pace of building the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is accelerating; however, there are still many challenges in the development process that we need to find solutions. In the future, Shenzhen Finance Institute will continue to build a dialogue channel between the government, academia and the industry to discuss and advise on important issues related to the development of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Bay Area and the country.
